May be looking at an 05 manual focus, are they any good and do they have any common issues/probs?

new shape (LS) or old shape (LR)?

new shape doesnt have alot of common problems to be honest, theyre alot better built than falcon/territory and so dont seem to suffer from trim issues.
Focus as with anything european designed seems to be pretty heavy on the original equipment brakes but once replaced seem to be more long lasting. this is true for LR and LS actually.

As with anything front wheel drive check the CV shafts for noise, and make sure you get service history.

What exactly are you looking at? private or from a dealership?

I think its actually an 06 but im not sure on the shape, its the sales girls car at my wifes work.
Good to hear there isnt really any inherent problems with them, i think its done about 70-80000 ks
and has a full fraud service history.

They wanted too much for it,it is a nice car but not anywhere near enough power for me.
