Oh and the point here is setting a car to run boost on a stock ecu before he can get a tune... and do it safely..... or did i miss the point?

Na you have the point there...

There was a question about what can they tune with a stock EEC... I was curious if it was pinging that needs to be resolved (previous statement said it was ignition problems that cause engine deaths)

The other little hoses on the back of the manifolds also need to go before the turbo? (Or to atmosphere?) Is there a vac line there for all the heater flaps and that?

A dyno run will check to see if the afr's are ok but as far as ignition goes the is nothing you can really do to control it that isn't aftermarket (be it j3 or a boost retard or whatever).

You can run all the vacuum hose like normal and get away with it because under normal driving conditions it isn't under boost and during braking your under vacuum also.
I didn't like this idea and made a vacuum tank out of a oil catch can with a brake booster one way valve in it so my heater system, brake booster, cruise control all run off the tank. everything else is hooked up to the manifold as per normal.

Double post.
