easy, don't drive though water that is going to be any higher than half way up your wheels, and if you do, make sure you go at walking speed or even slower ...
Yes, ALMOST got stuck in the Sunny Coast floods in Feb or march. Laticia.

They mount to the front bar and are forward of your front wheels (in case you do not know how to identify them). |

I know Paulie (Bordertown ain't that big) and he has the same problem in his EL that I have in my XH. As soon as they look at water they both satrt missing and f@rt and carrying on. I really beleive both are part cat . My ute does not have the inner guard protectors but EL Pauls does. I have shifted my coil; it now resides in the airbox so it's not the coil getting wet, it appears that water is splashing up onto the dizzy. My solution is to find a splash guard off another car (I don't care what it is) and modify it to fit.

hiyas, around here, when it rains for 30+ plus hard, all the roads flood deepest they have been is almost up to my waist, but sometimes I have to go to water thats 20cm deep, so what I did was go to bunnings and buy some sheet metal, 30cmx60cm I have it on the front underneath the car up to the sump, and the one on each side of the sump, keeps water, stones, dirt out ...
Laticia. P.S. if you want I can try and get a photo to show you how I've done it...

I had this same issue, and it was actually my TFI module on the dizzy that was dying on me. On a dry day it seems to run just fine, but add a bit of moisture in the air and it starts to miss like a b**ch. Replaced the TFI with a working one and it works just fine now in the wet, I even run into some puddles without anymore issues.
Have a look at your TFI module. Mine didn't have the rubber gasket that is squashed between the TFI and dizzy causing some moisture to get inside. Also the plug was looking a bit used up. Hope that helps. phong =P~
