Have an ex Uni Toshiba Portege Tablet PC Laptop M400 that is slightly over 1.5 years old.. has Intel dual core duo, 2gig ram, think the hard disk is 80 gig or more.. and it's a TOUCH SCREEN.... I bought two of these when the uni sold them intending one for the missus, but she got something else instead. Laptop has a docking station also so you leave that on your desk with all your stuff plugged into it and just plonk your laptop on it when you get home or wherever it is.... no messing with cables.
You can write directly on the screen with the pen and it will recognize your handwriting etc. touch screen is great for folding the screen back and just using it as a tablet to surf the net while on the couch... has wireless B/G as well and fingerprint recognition for fast logins.   Here it is with the screen folded back around and down and in tablet mode.. it is just resting on top of the docking station.  Lastly, here it is docked:  This unit sold for $3190 dollars when it was new (for the poverty pack initial verion and this is the updated version with faster CPU and more ram..... you could verify that with google if you like... It's not a massive speed demon, but I've found it pretty decent myself. Chasing $450 for the unit... |

you know the story, IF I had the coin this would be in the mail to NSW, its exactly what I am looking for to suit my needs, maybe IF the tax man is nice to me, and its still round I'll grab it then but definatly not before.

For the three of you that want shipping quotes.. I'll package it all up and get quotes for the shipping.

For those of you that have shown an interest.. here are some more shots...
Docking station gives you 4 more USB ports and adds a DVI output in addition to the usual stuff.  Here is the docking station in action.  Here it is in laptop mode:  And here it is in touch screen Tablet mode:  Closeup of screen:  Some minor scuff marks on the lid.. might buff or even wash off... not that bad anyway, just covering all bases. I wouldn't worry about it myself, looks fine.  Tis very cool sitting curled up on the couch with the laptop in tablet mode browsing fordmods and reading email...... Has XP tablet edition and all the usual toshiba stuff in addition to normal office stuff and windvd etc etc..... I'm installing SP3 and cleaning up windows abit now. |

last bit of info.... has a DVD RW Burner +- and an inbuild MMC/SD card reader.....
also has the manual in pdf and a "create recovery CD" function to knock yourself up a disk if you want to. |

what speed is the processor?

Interested on processor speed also, and it is a 15.4" inch screen? And the HDD "is" 80gb, or is bigger?

The card does 3D, but it's no gaming machine, think the card is intel... it can do funky 3d opengl stuff in linux, but I've not tried any windows stuff on mine.
This is a business class reversible screen touch screen laptop.... It's not a big bulky laptop.. it's small and mobile... screen is 12.1 I think.... Hence the docking station for when your at home. The idea is that when you are out and about.. you can flip the screen around tablet style and it's small and easy to browse with etc....
