Assuming EF Auto you need TQ95.

TQ95 or 95LE, same stuff different brand, is for Ford EF auto, Dextron3 is for Ford manual transmissions and is not suitable for Ford 4 speed automatics. Do not use it or you will have big problems.
The service place should know the difference between an automatic and a manual and BTW James the Ford specified lubricant for a manual is Dextron, not engine oil, why are you using 15W 40?
Cheers,
Paul

Ford 4speed autos can ONLY use TQ95, nothing else - i've seen what dextron does to the autos.

I thought I would dig up an old thread rather than start a new one here.

I'm going to do a filter and oil change on my 94 EF XR6 Auto on the weekend and this thread reckons I need TQ95. Is that a brand? Do I just get an ATF with '95' on the front? How many litres does it take? Preferred Brands?

I'm at work and my manual is at home, and I want to pick some up on the way.

Cheer's guys.

It is the name that one brand gave to the fluid they sell to use i the ford electronic 4 speed auto.

just get what ever brand you like and make the bottle says that it is suited to the auto in your car.

Nulon have a full synthetic fluid for the ford 4 speed now too.
