I just got from ebay a radio and stacker from a 2000 laser, there is no code on the radio, but on the front of the stacker it says{ unique data protocol for improved sound system security } when i insert the cartrage it counts the disks and inserts one to play, but i get an error mesage NO DISK has anybody ever had one of these that might be able to help me get it going, also it was from a wrecker that i got it off not the owner of the car. Thanks Brian

you have to get the security code for the stereo for the stacker to work

it should ask for the code the first time its turned on. i know ford had a few different types of cd stackers with the "unique data protocol" written on them. some were compatible with the EF/EL stereo's and some with the laser/mazda units. but not compatible with each other. if u plugged it in the other it wouldn't recognise the stacker.
sounds like its the laser thats not reading the disk. try an original music cd (not a burnt disk). |
