They driveshaft is connected to the diff via a cardan joint.. i think thats how you spell it. Couldnt tell you the size though sorry.

The rear CV is 99.99mm diameter and can be purchased from ford if thats the CV you are refering to. The rubber coupling your talking about is it on the front? if so its a flex coupling and is the 105mm type. If its that bad its probarbly easier getting a whole shaft from the wreckers maybe. Oh and the B series utes which use the 2 piece driveshaft dont use cardin or double cardin joints (Universal joints).

hey joolz
thanks for that, is the cv from ford the only one id be able to get or can i get a aftermarket one that would be better. 99.99mm is that what i give to the bloke who is going to do the job at his shop for me. if i cant get an aftermarket one would a bf bearing fit and be stronger?

cheers

The original CV's are better than after market as they are GKN's. Now you have me confused by the "bearing" you mention. The only bearing on the driveshaft would be the centre bearing and the BF type will not fit to the vehicle. They are the same bearing apart from the mounts. I will try to get the Ford part number's Monday for you as they differ from the supplier. Will get the part numbers for the Flex coupling, centre bearing, centre CV kit and the rear CV kit.
