Hi guys
Got 3 questions I hope someone can help with, 1, Blue racer cams ? & heatseeker cams? for 347 stroker witch of the two is best for street & little strip work? 2, could anyone identify these pistons taken out off 347 stroker ? thanks devondevil

It does not look like a 347 piston to me, the pin height seems way too big. It is a cast piston, and looks like a regular 302 or 351 windsor piston. Measure the pin height.

yep either that or using short rod ?? Which applies heaps of side load on bore & pistons..
Look std to me... Even my 330 with 5.4" rods has pin through oil ring... as said unless it's from a 351 stroker ??

1) Blue Racer do not make hydraulic roller camshafts for the 5.0L Ford, so if this is for your EF it won't work for you....
2) I've not had any experience with Heatseeker camshafts, I remember their ads in Street Machine back in the early 90s. Personally I'd look at using a Crow, Comp or Crane camshaft. 3) That piston is not out of a 347 stroker. It looks to be a basic cast replacement flat top for a 302 Windsor, such as Sealed Power, Hypatec or Endurotec. Certainly nothing special.

Thanks guys
No not for my ef was out of sons 1986 xf ute running 302 windsor auto street-strip,we have since pulled engine out & apart for rebuild SON was so dissapointed to find out not stroked has told when brought it. So we going to rebuild & run that while doing 351 replacement if - when we find one. again thanks for all your help & advice cheer's & keep up the good work devondevil Tassie |
