Got my front end checked out at Pedders today and apparantly I need new front upper inner control arm bushes......Are they easy to replace? If someone could describe the procedure involed in replacing them that would be great.

So, instead of acquiring another one, you want one of us to spend a good half an hour typing up all the steps involved on how to do the lower control arm bushes.
I for one, are not going to do that. I suggest you take off your front wheel, get down under the car, and have a good look around. It should be easy to work out what is involved. This is what most DIY modders/mechanics do. BenJ

Just thought there may have been some special method that may be involved as the nuts on the pivot bolts are easy to get to but the head of each bolt looks very difficult to get a spanner onto it

the only way you will get those out is to take the nuts off from the engine bay and withdraw the bolts AFTER you have loosened them. not sure by memory if the bolts come back far enough to change the bushes with the bracket done up but that sounds to convenient. just make sure the shims go back in where they came from but i would reccomend getting an allignment after anyway.
don't mind benj hes just grumpy lol

It's cool. I can understand Benj's response. I'll probably have a go at replacing them myself in a couple of days....I'll either make it or break it

just go to the motor house and pick out a pair of really good one's, he has s**t loads of them out of cars..

can be done over a half day / day. just take out the bits you need and send them to any mechanic, susspesion place or even machine shop and they should be able to pop them in and out.

if its the inner uppers, they're easy as piss. should be able to pop them out in the vice at home
