Approx $2000 - 3500 for a drive in and out respray. Possibly in the 4000-5000 mark if you want a smhicko job but not quite show respray.

Yeah, never thought about that. Im guessing youd leave under the bonnet but, probably wouldnt be worth pulling the motor if its not a show car. But then, the boot would need doing as well

If its a color change, then 3-5k depending on panel work needed etc aswell. If its same color then its a lil cheaper.

Id say to stick with the colour you got now, spend that couple of grand else where suggest wheels and an XR body kit. :P

i Also got a mate in Perth who does respraying..... i would suggest when u do this to take all the interior and motor out yourself..... make it a hell of alot cheaper.... and then take it to them as a rolling shell..... my mate quoted me around 1500 for my car in the MK1 XR blueprint.... if i gave him a rolling shell

Yes, this is most certainly true. When the cops do a check on your rego plate, the make, model and colour show up. If the colour doesn't match the description, you've got a bit of explaining to do!

Just ask MRE-40L - I hear he was having some problems with his EL not being 'gunmetal grey'. LOL (but he never changed the colour of the car, the RTA just made a mistake.
