Is there any difference between the ef 5ltr block and au in regards to strenght

And these blocks are good to about 500hp at best or so is this correct so 400-450hp with a stroker setup shoudl be fine

Yes, it should be, but then again it comes down to a lot of things including condition of the block, use and tune.

I wouldn't try pushing more than 400hp personally as I would hate to ruin my running gear by risking a cracked block; but in saying that its an engine - something can always go wrong.
