posting for a friend who is looking to do a diff conversion..
He has a EBII 6cyl manual with factory LSD and now has a Skyline 3.7 set of gears that he wants to use.. What ford housing would this skyline diff centre fit into the best and is it straight forward? EA---EBII-or-EF Thanks in advance.. |

I really doubt it would fit. If he is dead keen to run a 2 way LSD, like the skylines, KAZE make a 2 way center for the borgwarner but it is around the $2000 fitted.

I assume you are talking out of an older skyrine that ran the borg warner diffs? If so I thought they were 25 spline axle ones? I am not 100% though so wait until someone confirms.

i bought a set of 3.89's from a skyline for my NF and they reckon they fit you use the ring and pinion and some shims?!

r31 skylines 86-91 are 28 spline axles,manuals are 3.7's,autos 3.9's and the pintara's are 4.11's.They will fit no worries but you will have to re-set up the diff when you change gear set or fit the whole carrier..

I have just put R31skyline 3.89 diff and all u need is a crown and a pinion form the skylines centre diff and it bolts straight in. Depending on if the diff u took the crown and a pinion from has an lsd or not the diff place is gonna strip it further down or not. cost u between $300-$500 do install it depending on if u want to put new bearings in or not. Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies everyone..So they fit the rear housings no problems then? I think
he is wanting to use the 3.7 gears with the ford lsd.. |
