How do you get this inline fuel filter out?

you'll need a fuel disconnect tool. abw make em and can be had for around $10 at repco. they come in a pack of 2 a blue one and a red one. you'll know them you see them

I think you need that white plastic thing...it looks like a clip so that the fuel line hose can connect to the filter...but I could be completely wrong.

with these plus all you do is pus them on a little further. sometime there is dirt stuck behind them just clean it out. Then hold the tabs forward that will pop up and pull. sometimes if you twist at the same time it comes easy.

You may need to get a new fuel line from the tank to the filter, i had to on my au because i damaged the little plastic clip in the hose. cost about 30-40 bucks from memory

First, push the connector towards the fuel filter, then squeeze and pull back...its off. Same for Magna's too.

That white clip should push back down into the fuel line quick release collar. Then push back over filter pipe so the white clips locks onto the notch. It's exactly the same setup as the heater hose quick release collar on ef/el falcons just a larger size.

I did it!
I pulled it out.... and guess what, I didn't need any tool. Thanks cjh - your advice worked. BTW: the white clip is useless.... it doesn't fit... I just put the new filter smack right in without it

I just put the new filter smack right in without it The new white clip that came with the fuel filter would have fitted, if you had first removed the old clip already in the quick release collar. I would have personally changed over the clips, just incase it was damaged on removal......
