EL Manual XR6 1997, just got back from holiday to notice it has started slipping. Tested out all the gears and 1st / 2nd and 5th are fine but when I boot it in 3rd or 4th it slips. Revs fly up to about 4k then slowly come down as the car accelerates forwards. Any ideas what this would be and what I would be looking at to fix it?

maybe 3rd and 4th are worn out or have you tried draining and refilling your gearbag surely someone on here can answer your question better than i trie posting in the 6 cylinder workshop also

According to my T5 manual here, look like possibly worn out Synchros, or worn out shifter forks. You can get the synchros for about $US70 off ebay.....but the expensive part may be getting them installed.

Cheers guys, its booked in to see Crescent Motors. Spoke to him over the phone and he thinks its the clutch. I've also noticed it started to slip in 5th now...
