Cornering Lamps on EL XR6

G'day Guys

Just wanted to know whether cornering lamps from the EL Fairmonts, and the NL Fairlanes would fit straight into the vents on my EL XR6 bumber?

If so, do those vents just pop straight out or do I have to cut them out?

I know that the vents pop straight out in the Fairmonts and Fairlanes, but the front bumper on the XR's are different.

the vents pop out the ef bumpers too but they are a different shape to the fairmont/fairlane ones so the cornering lights wont fit

hey sorry to hijack the thread but i have a question about the el xr front. i have an ef futura and i am doing the el xr front conversion and am unsure whether i have to change the bonnet. any help greatly appreciated

Yep - EL XR and EF Bonnet are the same

Yeah, EF falcon/XR bonnet is same as EL XR, EL falcon bonnet different to everything, EF/NF fairmont/fairlane bonnet is same on EL/NL fairmont/fairlane.

ok so the bumber between the fairmonts and the xr's are different, therefore the lamps wont fit.

any suggestions as how I can do this mod then? or has anyone done this mod on their EF/EL xr

I think the whole shape of the bumper vent is different to the actual lamp shape so i think you couldn't fit it on because of that reason. Unless someone else can shed some light. It probably involves a home DIY to fit. :mrgreen:

I've seen people cut and shut the lower half off a fairmont bumper to an xr bumper otherwise not sure.

I've seen people sit the cornering lights behind the brake ducts on the XR bumpers. Check out Stevo (I think that's his username here too) and also Sikazz who have both done it.
