hey guys, just noticed today my car had a real noticeable rattler..i open the hood and it seemed to be coming from inside the rocker cover as it got louder when i opened the oil cap.

first i checked the oil and it was down but not low, so i topped up, seemed to have only quietened it down..

could this be the timing chain guide or what? how long can i keep driving if it is the guide?

its a 95 red top motor with 212 000km's..exhaust cam etc..

I am not some car fanatic but sounds lift it could be a lifter issue ! Maybe different oil or and additive will fix the problem !
