Getting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator mainly because I want a pressure gauge any tips on getting off the old regulator things i need to know?? ect thanks for reading

You need to depressurize the Fuel system:
1. Remove the Fuel Pump relay and start the engine, do not operate the throttle. 2. When the Engine stalls, operate the starter for 10 seconds. 3. Turn the Engine off and re-install the relay. You will need to remove the Air Cleaner then take the vacuum line of the regulator and then take the snap ring off the regulator that is keeping it in the fuel rail. When you have done that, twist the regulator a bit and you should be able to remove it from the fuel rail, there are 2 o'rings on the bottom. Make sure you cover the hole where the regulator was until you replace it. It is a good thing to make sure you have all the tools you need ready and clean rag. |
