The lower half of my explorer manifold doesnt have coolant holes for the rear coolant ports in the heads, i thought you would have needed coolant flowing through there?
There is holes in the gaskets but no holes in the manifold
I could only find a yank picture of an explorer lower half and the rear coolant ports were open so that is why i ask the question, why are mine not there haha.
I havent seen under one of these manifolds before so thats why im unsure.

Well i have just had my question answered for me by Vic.
The rear coolant ports have been welded up, obviously from corroding out.
What kind of a dumbass would do that?
I had a feeling this little project was going to drag out for a bit
