Ford are introducing a '2.0L I4 EcoBoost' and a '2.7L V6 Diesel' engines into the falcon rang in 2011, from what i can tell from many different press releases and reports is that the Ausie Built strate six is to be discontinued after the G Series. I'm sorry but WTF.
Why the hell would they suddenly drop there best selling small car (Ford Focus) in aus, then do a backflip and turn the best selling large car (Falcon) into a small car?
Just seems like there trying to piss everyone off, Us large car drivers are gonna be p****d off with the gutless new motors and small car drivers are exactly that, they aunt gonna wont a Big Car no matter what kinda motor it has in it.
Just my 2 cents, what your opinion.
Ill ad some links to different info iv found.
Cheers

mate thats really old news, they decided to keep the I6 probly just because how good it is. They are bringing the 2.0L turbo engine to the falcon aswell as the usual I6. They say the turbo engine will be very economical. Probly similar to a Camry and an Aurion.

Just re read all the stuff, it would appear that its a case of me have to many windows open at any one time, Good to know the i6 will continue its domination. Dose not mean I'm at all happy that there will be falcons running silly little 2L motors no matter how many turbos the put on em, whats the go with the V8s, I read somewere (although cant seam to find it now) that they will only be using V8 in some FPV and Ford Racing cars. No more Aussie-I6/US-V8 rivalry with falcons, me thinks no mater what they do to the I6, it will still walk all over the new Yank/Euro 2L Ecoboost.

I don't think Ford wants a repeat of the "let's get rid of the V8" ? That didn't last.
