Hi Guys, how common is rust in the sills in an EL?.
I have some in the front directly below the very front of the front doors but on the inside of the sills with none showing externally yet. Why do they rust there?. There appears to be drain holes and they sure are not blocked but the rust is in the vertical part that heads up to the floor pan. It looks like it should not be to hard to fix. Thanks, DavidA. |

yeah ive seen a few ef/el falcons with rust in the sills. water drains down the cowling in front of the windscreen and down the inside of the guard and into the sill panel along with leaves, dirt and other debris. you would be surprised at the amount of rubbish you find behind the front guards when you remove them.
best bet is to replace the whole sill panel, not a hard job for a panel beater
