This is genuine Ford definitions of the differences between EF diffs & EL diffs on sedans.
There not the clearest pics, but its there.

Do you have anything on the front end? e.g. upper control arm pivot points, radius rods etc.

btw, where did you find the book??

Good to see they appreciate you posting this up  - thanks anyway.
IIRC the handbrake brackets can be P clip type over the diff housing, or a casting in the hat where the cable goes through.
Is the book the 3 book EF/EL ford shop manual ???

Thats great, I've been putting mine off for AGES!

Do you know how much difference there is between a 5.0ltr V8 and a 4.0ltr V6 diffs ?

I have a mate with a written off EF V8 Monty who said he'd sell me the diff for my EL V6 Monty. Is this a fairly straight forward bolt-up ?

I was a Registered Ford Technician....that is a book from that time when the EL first came out.
It isn't a workshop manual, just a "new model introduction" booklet.
I have them for several models, Explorer, Taurus, XH ute, Courier, AU1 falcon, EL falcon, Festiva's, etc.

Where they bolt to the chassis, yes...where the point is on the upper bracket of the diff, is not.
