Hey all i'm looking to get my brake pads replaced and discs replaced or machined what ever is cheaper ive looked for decent pricing and so far in QLD brisbane i found UltraTune theyl replace my brake pads and machine the discs for $440 the lot but i feel that seams still pretty over priced ive tryed other places but they dont add the disc machine/replace option for cheaper or similer pricing so any help from anyone in this area would be great thanks

If you are able, might be an idea to take OFF the Discs and have them machined at someone like say Midas? They will then tell you whether the discs are worth machining. You could more than likely buy disc pads cheap from Super Cheap and if your discs are not able to be machined, Super Cheap will have some available at a good price I am sure?
I agree, $440.00 seems a little expensive... |

Yes Grambo, a good manual will help. Just make sure you put things in a container when you take them off and don't leave on the floor.
One thing though, might pay you to get NEW bolts to hold the calipers on, would cost you are $10.00 for the 4 of them. You can buy from a Ford dealer part numbers 2x V800233S100 and 2x V800234S100. Mo0st people don't change them and can run into trouble. |

If you take your time and do what it says you should have no trouble. Do you have any mates that can help? Try reading through it first and if there is anything you don't quite understand, come back and ask.

Hey champ, changing dics and pads aren't very hard at all. Might as well just go slotted all round with decent pads like EBC Greenstuff. New wheel bearings would go down well too.Caliper compression tool and rear caliper rotating tool makes life so much easier also.Workshop manual is what first got me into tampering with cars in the first place. You'll be fine give it a crack it'll be heaps of fun.
