Hey guys,
I put some sleeves on the cluster today and thought i would pull the middle plastic thing where the air con vents are. Its an EA. I pulled the dimister switch out and wanted to see what type of globe was in it. There is no point to that because it broke and its a soldered thing. Also i broke the dimister switch. It used to be spring loaded and you would push it and it would flick back up. It broke because when i was pulling it apart all teh s**t inside flung out when i opened it. So my engineering brain (pfft) came into action and now it is a switch that i have to push down then back up. Can anybody tell me how i might get it back to it original state with the globe being replaced aswell. I dont wanna have to buy a one. Cheers fellas |

I removed the globe that I had in mine and put an LED in there instead.
About the switch, have you still got the little peice that goes inside or what, just put that bit on the opposite way to what you have it now and the switch should work properly again. |

hey voxace
You wouldn't happen to know the specs of the LED you stuck in there and also at the moment i put the piece of metal with a dog so that the foot of the dog leg would be at the front of the car and the foot is at the bottom. I know it hard to understand but just bear with me. So your saying put the foot at the top. The only reason i didn't do that was it always had contact with the piece of metal it was only supposed to tap. Cheers |

I used one of the blue LED's from oatley electronics. With the switch, I had the same problem as you, and yea I just pulled it apart and put it the other way around. It didn't look like it was meant to go that way - but it does |

Hey voxace, just a question, i had a look in your gallery, how did you polish the rocker cover. Did you do it yourself or you got someone to do it.
Cheers mate |

Just good ol wet and dry sandpaper and some elbow grease.
Start with 80 grit to 'try' and fix up ford s**t casting, then went thru the grades up to 1200, used 2000 grit too I think. Then just polished with some autosol. It's only half done though so far. |
