hey all, i've managed to get my hands on a set of genuine Tickford skirts but am wondering how there held on. i know theres a bead of sikaflex or double sided tape on the top edge but how is the bottom edge held on? are there special clips that clip it onto the sill?
thanks in advance. |

Yes there are special clips to hold them on to the sill edge. They are still listed as available from Ford part number 00214439 @ $3.50ea, there are also screws still available p/n 56912 S57B @ $3.30ea.
It shows as 6 clips and 6 screws for each side. Hope that helps. |

Papa Smurf, do you have a Microcat market or something similar on your home computer? you seem to have heaps of knowledge on spare parts

Yes I do have access to Microcat at home. I have 6 computers in my little hidey hole and I like to bring my work home, so to speak. I have been a parts interpreter for 41 years and it still interests me.

At most Ford dealers you can do an in-house course and of course there is the Tech College route as well. make sure it is REALLY what you want to do as the $$$ aren't great and you will have to put up with heaps of wannabe mechanics and at the end of the day still love it Magna, you are most welcome. |
