Can anyone tell me why AU extractors dont fit e-series, and what, if anything has to be done to use the bigger AU maf on my ED?

I'm assuming your ED is a V8?, if so the AU extractors won't fit cause of the steering knuckle on the e-series, ( i found that one out aswell!!). :(
As for the AU maf you can put that on, you just got to change your electronics over.
Hope that helps.

I think the plugs for the MAFs are different too.

I hoped that was the case, now I just have to hope the soon to be installed lpg mixer doesnt make a bigger maf & t/b useless!

Your mixer will be the restriction. It will only be about 44mm ID and your MAF is 55mm. Mine still goes well on LPG with my mini MAF.

ive put the au maf body and au xr8 t/b in my ed 5.0 it works really well noticably more power even with lpg as i am running a impco 425 mixer.

with the mixer removed it runs real sweet lots more flow = more power

yep as said you can put your maf electronics in the au maf housing but id recomend that you have your afr's checked after doing the swap. some people have had issues and some havent but none the less its worth checking.

I love mining
However this is appropriate to what I was looking for..

Alot of people say its not worth running larger MAF/Throttle body when a LPG MIXER is being used
(ie: the 3 or so cm sprint gas ring  )

But surely having one bottleneck is better then 3 of them :?:

Also on LPG , will the car use any signals from the MAF? I dont think my LPG Install has any sort of 'computer"

So Im assuming - well actually I have no idea! but injector pulse is not required when on lpg or is it>? So on LPG it may be worth having some sort of "MAFLESS" tune??

SET TO LPG- but will just run petrol in case of emergency -

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The MAF is the single most important sensor for determining load. WIthout it the EEC cannot control the spark advance properly....something you certainly need for either fuel.
The injector power circuit should be turned off by a relay from your gas controller whenever operating on gas.

Thanks mate, what about my question of adding larger throttle body/maf, whilst still having smaller mixer ring - still restricted I know, but surely less...

Hi there,
please excuse the cutting in just wondering how you got the 425 mixer fitted up with your set up? Hell Lpg. Any pics available?
I would like to do something similar on my EF to upgrade the 225 mixer that is on there.
Thanks
