Hey Guys,

I've found the following package to suit the windsor (347 stroker kit). Would this be something to consider? The price is reasonable ~$1500.

The rods are 4340 forged I beams with 7/16 diameter12 point bolts and are made from a 2 pc forging , 5.400' x 2.123, The crank is 9000 series steel 3.400" Stroke x 5.400" x 2.123

This would be bolted into the AUIII V8 donk sitting in the garage. Should it all fit up without any issues?

Its just for daily driving, naturally aspirated.. max 200RWKW.

Remember my thread on stroker clearancing? Get ready to get the die grinder out and make more room for the rodbolts and crankshaft counterweights.
To remind yourself have a look in the stroker buildup on my MSN site...

Yes, I have kept that in mind. Once the donk gets pulled down, its off to the shop for a clean up.. I guess I can ask them to assist there, or maybe we'll have to take it back at a later stage for that. Its something I'd prefer not risk doing myself :)

So is the Scat kit worth the time and money?

that scat stroker kit where are you buying from?, coz that kit where i was going to buy it from was $1,500 for the scat 347 kit, and $2,800 for the stronger scat 347 kit (not sure which one im going yet, most likly the cheaper one if i don't go NOS).

Ummm no point in having 1000 h.p ratating assembly when the block can handle 450/ 500 h.p....
If the I beams are lighter go for them...
An iron crank is good enough for 450 h.p easy...
The Te50's didn't have 4340 [forged] cranks...
