Hi folks, could somebody tell me what the clock spring is (I know where it is) and what is it's purpose?
I think it has something to do with the air bag, as my manual mentions a "grenade pin"!! |

The clockspring is a ribbon wire setup for the connection for the Airbag, and cruise control ( if fitted ). They wear out....especially on taxi's.

O.k, if you say they wear out, I presume the insulation wears off? If so, can this cause a short, thus blowing fuses? I ask this because my airbag fuse blew, and I couldn't figure out why.
