This does not happen all the time but does it more regulary after driving the car for a long time. When I press down on the brakes to slow down, just before the car has completely stopped it makes multiple clunk sounds and you can feel the pedal pump a little bit. Only happens at very low speeds such as braking before going over speed bumps etc. Will be taking the car into a brake speacialist soon but just wondering if anyone has any idea's on what could be causing this to happen. I have checked the disks and they seem to be fine. Could it be the brake booster?

Indeed it is.

I had this issue, replace the ABS sensor. You can take it ford for diagnostics and they will tell you which one. Mine was front left.

If i recall the sensor itself is $36 or something to that effect. If you can do it yourself, thats all. But you will need to use diagnostics to figure out which sensor it is, or replace them all.

Best bet is putting it into ford for diagnostics ($70 odd i think) and having them replace it. Shouldnt be any more than $200 total.

So your looking at $150 to do it yourself, or a bit more to have ford do it.
