Hi im thinking about getting an 1990 ltd for parts. will the diff fit in my eb2 just else what about the abs, thanx in advance

I think you may find the LTD diff is an early borgwarner diff.

The simple way to check is to look under the car where the tailshaft meets the diff, and see if the diff and tailshaft have flat flanges that bolt together. If so the diff should be the later one.

Early diffs use the unit joint to join the two toghether. If it is an early one, it will have the wrong number of splines on the axles and centre. This is important, as if you want to keep the ABS in your car you would need to use your current axels. I would also be checking the diff ratio.

Another difference on an early diff are that the upper control arms are narrower and it is not a direct swap. There are ways around it however.

is it legal to scrap abs? as i dont think my axels are in the best shape. i bought the ltd i pick it up tomorrow.
i have the same model ltd da2 already i just checked it and its a bolt togeather flange
