the seats are just a matter of running a fused postive and negative wire and bolting them in as far as I know.

I have an NL dash in my Fairmont and except for the door ajar and bulb warning (I have LEDS in most of my external lights) it's completely functional.

look in the tech docks here in fordmods... there is a howto on it.

Yeah I personally hacked up a broken cluster and made a short adapter loom.
to fit mine then just to add 2 extra plugs doors ad bulb out, which I'd love but not gain the amount I use a trailer on her.

One I'm having a little trouble with is the foglamp bulb doesn't seem to be working, I've heard el's need a diode, I'm wondering if this is my problem. Or I've messes up a wire as It was pretty late when I made it.

I got the foglamp light to work in my NF Fairlane cluster. Just had to supply 12v to it.

There is a lot of work to get the Fairlane cluster working correctly, such as re wiring all the doors and installing the door ajar switches etc.

Read the doco, and you will get a good understanding of what is involved.

I've been waiting for someone to get rid of the warning (bypass it) as I have LED's all though mine and even if it was wired as per the fairlaine, it would still object to the resistance and alarm..

I almost have it ready to try. As I have a trailer, I have set up relays to send out those signals to the trailer.

But I have not set it up yet behind the cluster. As I have not done this, and I have not plugged in the bulb out specific plug, it has not shown any unusual behaviour. IE. it don't light up at all. LOL.

I didn't worry about the relays and it works fine..

reason is because all my main rear lights are LED's so hardly any current draw, so the LED's and the lights on the trailer work out as about the same current draw as the original fairlaine taillights pulled down.

Just annoying because whenever I put the park lights on, the alarm in the trip computer goes off and the "blown bulb" message flashes on the screen next to the odometre.

Also have to add the 180k resisters to turn off the door triggers in mine also.

The brake and park lamp bulb out pickups in the cluster are polarity sensitive, so try swapping the lines to the plug on the cluster back. Just be careful you don't mix brake and park lamp lines up.

Thanks Mr Snap... I will try and work out what you mean by that while I've got the cluster out to swap my pedal box and dash.
