Hyena, mate I had the same problem with my setup and I'm thinking its just taking the ECU longer to get its act together due to the head work, larger injectors and higher compression.
It was doing this on mine for quite a while and did eventually settle down. After I reset the ECU, I disconnected the ISC and drove her around for a few hundred k's as Mark suggested. This eventually fixed the problem for me. Additionally, I don't have a neutral switch wired up (5 speed) whether this could have had any bearing.

I'd say mine has done over 1000ks now since the reset but I'll talk to Mark about the disconnecting the ISC trick. Mine is a factory manual tho so no neutral switches or any of that.

I also noticed and forgot to mention - fuel ecomomy improves once disconnecting the ISC - significantly.

same here - mine idles like a c*&t in R especially. i'm looking at a ticky ECU to see if it *might* help the idle slightly - not hoping for much, but hey, its a start... mines rich as hell too - going to try & solve it with a nadj fuel pressure reg.

Ugly bob I'm thinking of getting an adjustable FPR too, I'll might give one of these off ebay a go http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 94143&rd=1 When I get a megasquirt it'll handle all that, but the MSII's are not available until July now [/url]

This would probably work for a constant 'rich state'.

Interesting circuit MSPW, I've printed it for a rainy day
I only just glanced over it, but if its only playing with the O2 sensor output, doesn't the ECU only use that when cruising ? I think I remember reading that somewhere but I may be wrong... I disconnected the ISC so I'll see how that goes. I'm suprised how much of a difference it makes to how the car drives. Mine was always slow to fall through the revs return to idle after a rev but now it drops back to idle quickly like most other cars. The car also slows itself down alot more now when I back off so I guess the ISC was holding the revs up to keep the speed fairly constant
