I have just purchased a panasonic cd player to replace the standard unit in my farimont, I thought the brackets would be universal but alas no..

is there a special stereo mounting bracket for aftermarket units ??, where do I get appropriate info.
Got the old unit out without any probs.

if you have to you can drill the existing brackets to suit the new HU.

That's what all three main installers told me here. When I asked if they could modify if for me, they didn't even want to know me! But then one of the other dudes did it for nothing.
