ok so i was changing a head lamp bulb after doing other work on the car and found i needed to remove the battery to get a good veiw and access to the back of the light.
anyway one thign led to another and i did possibly the dumpest thing ever in not removing the long attachment form ym ratchet and hit form the negtive terminal to the positive. (yes dumbets thign i have ever done). took a chuck off my ratchet heated it up pretty hot and took a chunk off the positive terminal all in less that 1 second! The point of this thread is now the first settign on the wipers wont work the Aircon wont work the else windows wont work and the center cd player/screen thing wont work but everythgin else is fine. a mate said he checked for the fuses. but i there any thing he may have missed if so where should i look. i dont reall wanna fork out $1,000 to get a HMD fixed so please tell me it isnt that!

They can't be that delicate.
There has to be a fuse somewhere your not looking.

Try and ring service dept at Ford and play a bit dumb and ask them where the fuse could be that controls the accessories not working.

If you have an owners manual the info for the fuses should be in there.
With any luck shorting the battery shouldn't have killed any of the electronics but it may have upset the clocking for the micros. So maybe try disconnecting the battery for 15mins or so (without shorting it ) and hopefully everything will come back..

hahaha ill try that one..
wiring digrams arent my forte though. and i didnt check the fuses a mate of mine who is good wiht his cars (holden head so mainly 90's cars) said he couldnt find it.... im not trusting his judgement right now. and the biggest challenge would be to not short it again! i have apermanent makr on my ratchet that will remind me.
