Hi every people!

AU2 Futura... Just been serviced, new plugs, leads, cleaned throttle body,
cleaned IAC, new fuel filter....

Still drives pretty well with negligible loss in power,
but after sitting still for about 30 seconds the engine will
start missing/idling roughly, in D or N no difference....

Any ideas?

vacuum leak causes huge idle quality issues, check hoses, for spark plugs, if they are gapped too largely, then this can cause a backfire / pop where hoses can come off, in my case a year ago it was the MAP sensor hose running from the map sensor from the firewall to the centre of the air intake runners.

That is a good place to start looking

Also, after a period of time after driving, the ecu tells the engine to idle lower, its usually 10seconds (ish) though, ask the IAC sensor, is that responsible for the idle speed in anyway?

Try pulling off the 90degree ruber elbow on the intake, get your service manual (not the ford manual, lol) and turn it ONLY 1/8th of a turn in the direction which lifts your idle speed.

Do those and you should be golden

Are you trying to tell him to turn the rubber elbow or the manual?

I have the same problem with my EF and have had no luck in finding the problem...
