I think i asked this question on the sticky above your post. Never got a reply. If possible can someone measure the voltage on the lower tps for the trans on an unmodified or unadjusted unit please. Might come in handy for people before they start messing around with it. I played with mine and it caused hard thumping shifts. I put it back where i thought it should be and its a lot better now.
I think im getting old lol. regards |

Both of my v8s havent been checked before until recently and the trans sensors were both just over 1 volt, set both cars to .98 on both sensors now.
Now the el v8 feels like a slug and the eb is fine The el has always had a slight stutter on initial takeoff when cold(when the throttle is cracked open), thats when i looked at the tps.

AFAIK it should be set as close to 0.98v as possible same as the the "engine" one.

Am I right in saying that the TPS for the auto is in lieu of the old kickdown cable? I know mine will hold gear pretty good when loaded up but will kick back a gear or two with little gentle persuasion aswell.

Yes im sure it replaces the kickdown cable, my max ellerys manual still refers to the kickdown cable when referring to a 95 le box, they certainly make it hard for you when putting out of date info in their manuals
