For those in the know....a little help / info please. f you had just put on extractors and a high flow cat, will the AU ECU reset it self in a few 10's of km. Or should one disconnect the battery for 30mins. I belive in the small amount of kms i have done (30km odd) that its is running ok. But could it run even BETTER with a reset.
Extra crap.... I have in the past, (pre extractors and cat) driven to Sydney 5 hours. After reseting ECU. And once Not reseting ECU seemed to get same economy. Did this as an experiment. Thanks in advance MITCHY

resetting the ecu just forces it to relearn the best fuel maps n what not.
cant hurt as the engine will be breathing a bit better, but the ecu should learn that kind of stuff pretty quickly anyway

The ECU's in the later model falcons are always learning so to speak, so I would just leave it, but it couldn't hurt nothing to leave it disconnected over night and reconnect it....
If you really want to you can search the tech documents there is a procedure to learn the idle etc....
