does anyone know what the pipe is that doesn't carry fluid is on the back of a eb series 2 steer rack,mine has a fairly major crack in it and i was curious as to what it does?

They do carry fluid......how else would it work???

nah the pipe i am talking about carries no fluid whatsoever,my rack has the 2 pipes that carry fluid but there is a third pipe on the back of the rack,it is about 5-6 inches long and is just pushed into 2 fittings on the back of the rack.

Thats the pipe to equalize the air in the rack boots from side to side. You need that to be sealed to keep out dust & water.......contamination.

mine had come off on one side and I could see no easy way to permanently reattach it so I just swapped the rack body over with another I had. (kept the top bit though as it's from a ghia and is speed sensitive.)
