EL calipers were alloy as well. (well at least mine were, but that could've been because it was a hybrid)

I did the ones on my EL matt black. Hid the rust and didn't stand out (stock EL brakes are nothing to show off).

My new ones already came painted red.

Looks good , Would it br easier to take thealipers off before painting to save on the masking or are they too hard to take off and put back on again?

Datamine, once i did a quote through ford spares for replacement pads and rotors for a customers BA1 GT-P with the brembos.. it ended up coming to around $5300!

Scary huh.

Front pads alone I've priced to $907 from Ford.

Guess it's good they're lasting me so much longer than the pads and rotors on my EL would. I'd be counting my blessings getting 10,000K out of a set of pads, and 30,000 out of a set of DBA rotors (stock rotors would only last 10,000)

Mate I feel for ya.....That's first degree highway robbery.

The prices I've heard for FPV spare parts lately has certainly put me off ever wanting to buy an FPV vehicle

Yeah, don't buy through Ford, instead the Oz Brembo importer, and they're $380 a front set.

data mine, have you seen how heavy a Maybach is? :P it needs eight pistons per wheel to stop the f**k thing :lol: :lol: :lol:

didnt do it myself, just paid the local tyre shop 70 bux to take the calipers off and paint it, was considering just doing while it was on the car but glad i didnt as the coat is a lot better now
