I have a Ford BAII XR8 and when I turn the driving lights on the rear lights come on as normal..

But when I press the brake pedal I have no brake lights.. Not on either side, not in the rear window either?

Is there some sort of switch that works with the brake pedal? or a fuse or something?

I drive around in the day and I have no brake lights when i stop.. A few people have told me about it..

Any help greatly appreciated..

check the fues first because its easyest, there is a cover for the fuse box under the steering colum to the right.. the users maual will tell you the exact fuse.. if thats not it check the globes, i know it soulds stupid but I've seen all the stop light globes blown in a car before.... or the pedal switch mite not be working, but usualy the problem with the switches is they get stuck on rather than dont work

Could all three brake lights be blown?? left, right and middle?

I looked in the fuse thing under the dash, there is millions of them, dont know which to look at..

all three could be, its pritty unlikely but it doesnt hurt to check.

the best thing to do is look in the user manual if you have it because they are all numbered, if you dont just pull em out one by one and check them..
having said that im fairly sure the brake lights and park lights are wired into the same fuse and if they are still workin it could be a whole nuther kettle of fish
