what exactly have you unbolted? once the dash is out there are 3 nuts directly behind where the dash reinforcement sits. Then it just pops off. You may have to use some gentle force to pry it off the top 3 studs but nothing excessive.

yeh its a major pain bit the only way to get unbolt the pedal box is to completely unbolt the dash and either move it forward or completely remove it from the car. If your not worried about scratching the plastics then just move it forward. I tried it this way and put some nasty gouges on the upper part of my airbag. Its easy enough to remove with 2 people. Its not a heavy item just friggen awkward lifting it out on your own.

cheers
