It got pointed out to me today that the BF XR6 will not lock with the fob & the horn goes off, I think it would be a actuator issue but I don't want to go pulling the door trim off yet, when pushing the interior console lock butoon the cr will not lock, the drivers side makes a jack hammering noise when pushing the lock button, pressing the fob, turning with the key & that locks the car but still hear that jack hammering noise & pushing the door button.

Any Idea's??

Are the BA-BF's similar to the E-Series for the central locking/door assembly?

Good chance your dock lock/actuator is being a beech and is in need of replacing. They DO have problems with them. A NEW lock and adaptor harness will set you back $160.00 from a Ford dealer, you might find one on Ebay for less?

The AU/BA/BF are not the same as the EB/ED/EF/EL system

gluing the white doodad back together is a temp fix, dont expect it to last. i would recommend ebay for a replacement. when my actuator crapped it, i bought a set of all 4 actuators and the electric regulators with all four door looms from a bf for $125 from ebay. fixed my one bung actuator, and sold the other parts for a profit.

the unit is the same from AU/BA/BF but, you have to change the plug on the wiring to suit if you use a AU one in a BA/BF.

i mention this because i recently bought one for an AU for $50, cheaper option then $160.
or if you can wait 2 weeks i'll rip one out of the smashed BA i bought and post it to you for $50. pm if interested
