GUYS HELP
I have bought new hubs (ABS) for my wagon and the SOB of a manufacturer didnt make it easy did they I have 3 nuts under what I thought was a retainer washer....but now I think it is more than a retainer Do you undo the 3 x 32mm nuts individually or undo them all at once or do you undo them with the retainer and use what would look like a 36 mm socket I am confused cos my socket wont get the last nut off It is too dam thin so I will have to get the face of the socket machined to remove the 1/4 inch of bevel at the tip Any ideas Keep the fords runnin and Long Live The Bear (B R Bear that is)

The usual method is to use a 36mm socket over the outside of the retainer. if you have bent this open I would suggest replacing them with new or second hand ones.

You use a 35mm deep single hex socket, that is all, no picking at the nut or anything like that, just undo it, slide the old hub off, may require a tap, put some anti-sieze compound on the stub, and fit the new one. Its that easy....done heaps of them.
