Not for 4.11s as far as I know.
There was talk of using an XF sender with an XF gear, but that was for 3.9s IIRC.
Its a moot point anyway, because if you use the correct gear in the box, your auto shiftpoints will get f**k up.
A speedo correcter between the ecu and dash is the only way really.

Can buy em premade.
Jaycar does them and "66 coupe" on here does them as well I think?
Haven't wired one in personally, so cant really comment, but wouldn't be too hard to splice in.

Gearbox, fairly sure it goes speedo sender > ECU > dash.
Best bet is a speedo corrector between the ECU and dash.

wrong it goes sender>dash>ecu

administering CPR to this thread.

Im doing a diff gear change on the weekend to 3.89's from an r31.

So far Ive gathered that theres issues with pinion shimming, and that a 7 mm shim, or a new bearing can fix this up?

Ive got a set of new diff bearings to go on, so will this new pinion bearing sort this problem out?

My mate who is putting it together is a mechanic, but hasnt done AU diffs before. Hopefully he can get it going :)

then its a case of a speedo adjustment, which I have read about and so far understand the need for 2 modules. However Ive heard you can alter shift points with a flash tuner, which I also have. So can anyone tell me yay or nay if a single speedo corector, and a flash tune with altered shift points will work the same as 2 speedo correctors?

Ive checked the stampings and the lsd from the EF thats going in has 0578-914

and the diff of unknown type from the r31 has 0578-902

does this mean I will not have any issues with the pinion after all?

OK solid info and fitted,

0575 and 0578 gear sets are the same,
but if you put 0575 in a 78 housing you have to change the large pinion brg from the small timken no. HM88649 TO THE LARGER HM89446 THE OUTER IS THE SAME FOR BOTH HM89410
all the other brgs and the seal are the same, no spacer required

Im getting a brand new built diff put in soon, this will alter the speedo reading.
Wont it?
I was wondering if there is anywhere any one knows, in SA, that this could be altered and the speedo read correctly with the new diff.

Cheers
