Anyone able to educate me as to what this plug is for?
It's got 4 pins/wires, it's on the engine bay wiring loom comes out just by the front left (passenger) side headlight. I've recently rewired the whole car with Fairmont and Fairlane wiring looms, and I'm nearly certain this plug wasn't in my old GLi loom - so I assume possibly for some luxury/optional feature? |

Looks like the earlier Bosch ABS plug to me.
Can't see the other plug very well, maybe you mixed the two types of plug in there when putting the looms together.

They're complete looms, which is why I've replaced them. There's no joining/hacking or modifying of any kind on them! The big plug which I've said above is the ABS matches perfectly to the ABS unit I have. Perhaps this loom is from somewhere when they were changing ABS units and therefore has both? |

Not anything to do with the climate control in the high series where they have a sensor or something on the airbox?

They're cornering lamps, so I assume that if your turning right, the right one is on and the left is off, and vice versa, this would mean that each is wired separately and so would be 4 wires, wouldn't it? |

I don't see why the climate control would have a sensor on the airbox. Also would of been on my EL Fairmont Ghia aswell then I'd imagine as that had climate control. There is a sensor that goes on the airdam of the front bar, but that's on the opposite side. |

I think that's what he's getting at at, but as you'd know no the case.

Maybe but if it's cornering lights, they're must be another loom to plug into it, as the cornering light plugs them selves look like the plugs on your indicators, but would somewhat make sense.
