EFFalcon wrote: he's upset because he can't find the BA Engine into E-Series for Dummies book. Heheh. Yeah. That'd be f**k handy. Then me, and about a hundred other people, wouldn't have to ask any f**k stupid questions and wouldn't need to be on Fordmods or Boosted or any other site full of self important know alls. For f**k. By the way - That could be my claim to fame... Selling the first copies of a "Dummies" book in NZ - I think it was WORDPERFECT for DUMMIES actually. Amazing how even the text entry box in Fordmods is actually better than a full blown product worth $1200 from the 80's! I would have never bother typing this much into WordPerfect. |

It works!! you got it right...."I didnt share info".....i see you really understand the spirit of the forum..NOT "because I was asked not to"....what a cop out.. give me a link where its explained how for very little money (you claim $80) the BA ecu can be flashed to a manual tune and have the security removed.... fitting a BA motor into any e series could be done by a trained monkey....whats the difficulty? mounts are all the same, add the pedal its the PCM wiring thats the trick.....and dan I think you failed to achieve anything in that that regard.....

Ive shared plenty in the past. Time for other people to make an effort. Like I said earlier, if you search you will find the answers. Its not rocket surgery. Get the looms you need, wire it up, fit the engine. Get the ECU modded and away you go. All ECU's use the same thing to work. Power, inputs and outputs. Remove the security and its no different to any other ECU. These instructions are plastered all over the place but it seems like none of you want to listen to them. Instead you would rather pick a part how other people have done it and beg for more information which doesnt exist so you can make excuses as to why you havent tried it. gogetta wrote: its the PCM wiring thats the trick.....and dan I think you failed to achieve anything in that that regard..... lol at giving an ecu to someone to flash being called an achievement. You guys need to get out more. I dont get why everyone still insists this is a hard conversion. I love the general forum theory that says unless it has been done 11ty times and several tutorials are written it will cost $10k and can only be done by a pro. Forum mechanics ftl. |

If i hadn't laid money out on parts, then the Mav would have a twin-cam in it. Woulda been a piece of pi$$, as my dash doesnt need an ecu, flashed out security, bolt in motor, connect ecu, end of story........
Cheers Daz

Ill swap motors with you DA22LE?
When I spoke to Dellow they didnt sound too confident of the twin cam/firewall clearance. There is a water temp sensor at the back of the head that sticks out a bit. Nothing a bit of creative welding cant fix though I guess. |

Dellow also told me that a 10 1/2" clutch wouldnt fit in their B/H, and it woulda $h1t it in. They dont know $h1t from clay, and play in both. I am not using the head sensor. I just fitted a bolt and washer with some sealant. ........... Daz
