trans is slipping in 2nd on my ebxr8 done 270,000 km, will a recon handle 347 mtr which gets built monday week,can these trans be strenghtened,advice is a bit yes and no depending who u talk to and prices range from $1800 - $3500,some specialist recon you can only beef up the torquo converter and valve guides.

How much power you looking to get from the stroker?
Stock trans should be able to hand anything standard heads/manifold can throw at it... regardless of stroker....

i have gt40p heads with a port job large valves,match ported aftermarket manifold,comp cam xe276hr,75mm tb,75mm maf,bosch 910 fuel pump,30lb injectors.etc.

Ah i see.... chasing some respectable pwr...
I suggest you contact EDXR8 of these forums, he's had some work done to the BTR and is putting quite a lot of power through it.

I am led to believe that the stock 4speed auto is good for about 240rwkw, but will develop problems after that. Not sure on how to make them stronger sorry
