have you tried re calibrating your keypad it might be that it has lost the memory to your key pad, i would try that and see what happens.

it should be reading between 13.5v and 14.5v while running...
and you re calibrate the remote by pressing the boot release 3 times and then press the remote.. but its best you fix the charging problem first..... |

are all eb - el v8 alternators compatible? or do they have different wiring plugs?

The EL typy do not have the extra single wire - it is bulit into the alternator. You can actually buy the new plug. other than that the EL type fit ED without any drama.

If a door actuator has failed then all the other actuators may cycle continuously.

with them going up and down, it could just be a knob or 2 that has been installed wrong. have them all up and pull the knobs off (takes a bit of pulling) the 3 that cycle up and down then put your fuse back in, if they dont cycle then that is the problem there.
with one not doing it, the actuator mustn't be working, so id guess replace that one. they are riveted to the inner door panel. punch the middle through the rivet then chisel off or drill the alloy rivet out then swap the new one in and re-rivet. to reset the knobs at the correct height u need to sit in the car and lock the doors via remote or button on the dash. once locked u need to pull the inserts 13mm or so out of the knobs. then u wiggle the knobs down on the threaded rod in the door as far as u can go, once u are there give them a thump down and they should sit close on flush to the door trim. press unlock and check they are working correctly. |
