Anything from Alpine for your HU. Top end Pioneers are also pretty decent, as are Clarion units.
Front speakers you should go and listen to, and it depends on how much you want to spend, but they should be 2 way SPLITS/COMPONENT speakers (eg. seperate tweeter and crossover box)
MB Quart, Hertz, Morel, Focal, Eclipse, Infinity to name a few of the 'other' brands.

If your looking for good quality splits this is where I think you should start: shopping-secure-car-audio-f65/fordmods-italian-speaker-special-ad6-6-5-splits-t82649.html These would be a MASSIVE upgrade from factory speakers. If you want some reviews I can post them up from my other forums.

As for head units, just avoid entry level models. You want to make sure you don't miss essential features like having 3 pairs of RCA outputs on the back!

Those AD woofers are just replica MBs arent they?
If you're going to that price range best run them from an amp of ~50-100rms, as most HUs are only around 15rms.... goes for pretty much any aftermarket speakers, as they'll be wasted running off a HU really. While they'll be better than stock, they'll be so much better again off a nice clean crisp amp.

Where did you get that from? Don't compare handmade Italian speakers to MB... these things are worlds apart.

Quick to bag a well known, respected and performing brand whilst promoting a relatively new and unknown product are we
I didnt mention any models, so your saying your ADs are better than anything MB have on offer? Big call...........

Since MB isn't made in Germany anymore its not the same "brand" it used to be. Who says AD is new? Just because its from Europe doesn't mean its new. Dollar for Dollar I have no problem suggesting AD over MB.
