Heys guys i am in the middle of purchasing 2004 BA turbo. I just got back the RACV report and all is green light exept there says small amount of oil damperage around the turbo is this a major problem??.
It does not blow smoke and i asked a mate he thinks could just be copper gasket on the oil line pipe just wondering any ideas if its a major problem or not and how much it is to rectify
Cheers Scott

It might be normal for a bit of oil swet to occur but depends on how bad it is.

Man honestly i couldnt tell ya i have not had this issue with my BA. Without coming across smart i suggest you take it to Ford if you purchase it and get them to check that area in question and whilst they are at it i would get them to check and tighten all the turbo bolts. Something as simple as lose bolts will cause headaches as well as lost boost. It is important that they are always tight on BA's / BF's . 70kays is not much either so yeah it should not have too many problems.
