Haha turns out the noise that was happening with the Ghia was a timming chain rubbing against the guide which was broken all due to the tension being too tight, or something being not correctly adjusted..
So i could quite possibly be up for a full timing makeover.. But even then the mechanic said he didnt have time to see if their was any further damage to the rest of the car.... F*** lol How much does it cost usually to get something like that done, like the chain/guides/bearings etc.. Will know more tommorrow arvo, so will know exactly what is gonna happen.

Looks like im just going to need a new timing set, the mechanic is going to do it after hours and its going to save me over $300 in labour..
 Looking at roughly $550 mininmum if thiers not further damage.

Yeah i will be giving him a hand whenever im not at work. Haha i almost found someone that wanted to buy the car off me once i had fixed it too lol. Key word "almost".

Key word "almost". sounds like my old ef before i sold it. i had to spend 2k on the power steering pump and several other things let go so i was pretty p****d.....

Hes tested everything else and has shown me what has happened, a new timing kit will fix the problem. The engine that was in this car was running extremely well, except for the noise. even the mechanic said it himself.. Will just have to see how we go.. ill keep you all updated.

some times these things are just destined to fail....
id opt out before u go too far... check oil pressure now....as u had an oil leak it may have killed your bearings...

Yeah oil leaks were all sorted, and oil pressure was in top section on the gauge.. Im still going to continue with getting it fixed, if thiers further damage then ill just have to put in a new engine.. but ill cross that road when i come to it... I have full confidence in the mechanic getting it sorted out.
More than likely i will just resell the car if that happens, that way i can atleast make some money off it. As its in pristene condition body and interior wise. and gearbox as well.
